Gary Frank Blagg

Gary Frank Blagg, age 71, of Westfield, IL formerly of Battle Creek, MI passed away at 5:38 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Carle Hospital, Urbana, IL.  He was born February 27, 1949 in Charleston, IL the son of Raymond F. Blagg and Betty L. Estes Blagg.  On June 1, 1968 he married Linda Darlene Coleman in Ashmore, IL; she passed away on May 20, 2006.

Survivors include his daughter, Amy Lynn Wilkins (Rich) of Casey, IL; granddaughters, Kindra R. Wilkins Finney (Brandon) of Charleston, IL and Chelsey Nicole Wilkins of Casey, IL; great grandchildren, Jett Finney and Hallie Finney; sister, Sandy Blagg of Tucson, AZ and special friend, Patricia Burke of Portage, MI.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Darlene Blagg; brother, Rodney Jay Blagg and infant twin brother and sister. 

Gary was a 1966 graduate of Westfield High School; he continued his education at Lake Land College in Mattoon, IL.  He was a retired insurance agent and broker in Battle Creek, MI and Mattoon, IL.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston, IL with Rev. Gene Southard officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.  (Per CDC guidelines, 10 attendees are allowed inside our facility at a time. Attendees should stay at least 6 feet apart and wear a cloth face covering.)
