Fredia Lee (Perkins) Boone

Fredia Lee Boone, age 67, of Westfield, IL formerly of Union Mills, NC passed away at 6:42 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon, IL. She was born April 4, 1955 in Memphis, TN, the daughter of Albert Perkins, Jr. and Rose Nead Perkins. She married Thomas Eugene Boone in Memphis, TN; he passed away September 21, 2001.

Survivors include her fiancé, Robert B. Hutchinson of Westfield, IL; children, Angie Jones (Scott) of Ellenboro, NC, Michael Boone of SC, and Brandon Boone of Newport, TN; stepdaughters, Dawn Buff (Mitchell) of Harris, NC and Katherine Talley (Eric) of Ellenboro, NC; stepson, David Rollyson of Casey, IL; brother, Ricky Perkins of Como, MS; eleven grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. She is preceded by her parents, husband, Thomas Boone, and brother, Charlie Perkins.

Fredia attended Fellowship Baptist Church in Rutherfordton, NC. She loved to be creative especially enjoying coloring and sewing. Fredia also had a passion for gardening and planting flowers. In her younger years, she also enjoyed dancing. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.
