Floretta Ann (Davidson) Crites

Floretta Ann Davidson Crites, age 88, of Casey, IL passed away at 11:03 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Carle Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born on February 2, 1933 in Casey, IL, the daughter of Harry Franklin Davidson and Belva Jane Beasley Davidson. On March 15, 1960, she married Franklin Denver Crites in Martinsville, IL.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years Franklin Crites of Casey, IL; daughter, Donna Stephen of Mattoon, IL; sons, Mike Crites of Casey, IL and Phil Crites (Ann) of Casey, IL; sisters, Janice Crites of Casey, IL and Joann Elkins of Robinson, IL; grandchildren, Dustha Wahls (Eric), Kristin McVey, Bryan Crites, Kelsey Crites, Aaron Crites (Annie), Andrew Crites and Megan Stephen Dennison (Adam); and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Marion “Pete” Davidson, George Davidson, Thomas Davidson, David Davidson, Theron Davidson and infant brother Burris Gene Davidson; sisters, Pauline Winterrowd, Lucille Wilhoit, Hazel Redman, Maxine Howe, Dorothea “Dot” Arnold, Lois Earhart, Catherine Arnold; and grandson, Kevin Michael Crites.

Ann worked at the Ettelbrick Shoe Factory for fifteen years and in the Cafeteria at the Casey School. She loved children and adored babysitting throughout the years as well. She enjoyed going to church and spending time with her precious family. Her hobbies were flower gardening and working in the yard. She also enjoyed crocheting.

Private graveside inurnment will be conducted on Friday, July 23, 2021 at the Casey Cumberland Cemetery in Casey, IL with Pastor Mike Martin officiating. Celebration of Life will follow burial at 12:00 p.m. at the Casey White Oak Church, 3305 E. 1000th Rd., Casey, IL 62420.
