David Roy Sharp

David Roy Sharp, age 65, of Casey, IL passed away at 8:31 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Sara Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon, IL.. He was born January 1, 1958 in Paris, IL.  He was the son of Linden Dean Sharp and Violet Lavaughn Neese Sharp.  

Survivors include his children, Jessica Housinga (John) of Jacksonville, NC; Justin Sharp (Marsha) of Casey, IL and Samantha Sharp of Casey, IL; the mother of his children, Denise Sharp of Jacksonville, NC; grandchildren, Justice Sharp, Kaleb Housinga, Arayah Lawrence, Rosslyn Sharp, Kaedyn Housinga, Bryar Sharp, Bralynn Batson, Gracyn Seafler, Tiffany O’dell, Anthony Wilson, and great-grandchild Denim O’dell.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donnie Yelton and daughter, Tennille Sharp.  

David attended Casey High School.  He drove a truck for Bekins Van Lines prior to his retirement.  He later worked at Evapco in Greenup, IL.  David enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time with his family.   

Services will be held at a later date.  Inurnment will be with his parents in Washington Cemetery, south of Casey, IL.
