Dakota Cheyenne Darlene (Hollingsworth) Sandiford, age 30, of Westfield, IL passed away Saturday night September 26, 2020 the result of an automobile accident. She was born June 16, 1990 in Danville, IL, the daughter of Billy Joe Hollingsworth and Cynthia Irene Graham Johnson. On June 28, 2014 she married Nathaniel James Sandiford in Casey, IL.
Survivors include her husband, Nate Sandiford of Westfield, IL; children, Jamayca Janai, Benton Blaze, Teagan Taleigha, Zepplin Zacchaeus and Walker Wray; mother, Cynthia Johnson of Casey, IL; sisters, Andrea (Shane) DeWeese and daughters Belle, Christian and Haley of Paris, IL, Tiffany (Christopher) Hopkins and children Neveah, Sierra, Marcella and Wyatt of Marshall, IL, Meisha Williams and children Auraya and DeWayne of Casey, IL; father and mother in law, Steve and Vicki Sandiford of Casey, IL; brother in law, Holton (Taylor) Sandiford of Fairfield, IL; sister in law, Tayia Sandiford and son James of Casey, IL; aunt, Shirley of Martinsville, IL; many uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and her church family. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Larry Entrican and Darlene “Granny” Puckett; paternal grandparents, Carl Hollingsworth and Margaret Ann Hollingsworth and her father, Billy Joe Hollingsworth.
Dakota was a mother of five children who were the joy of her life. Prior to her employment at Christensen Farms she had spent several years as a stay at home mother where she was able to share her love for her children, her faith and her love of gardening all day. Dakota loved to spend time with her family. Dakota was a faithful member and served on the leadership team at Harvest Vineyard Church in Martinsville, IL.
Graveside funeral services and burial will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Partlow Cemetery, rural Casey, IL with Pastor Danelle Jackson officiating. Visitation will be from 1 – 3 p.m. prior to the service at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL. (Per CDC guidelines, 50 attendees are allowed inside our facility at a time. Attendees should stay at least 6 feet (2 meters) apart and wear a cloth face covering.)
