Cindy Lynne (Sturgeon) Binder

Cindy Lynne Binder, age 61, of Casey, IL passed away at 12:34 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at her residence surrounded by loved ones. She was born July 24, 1962 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Glen Harvey Beck Sturgeon and Hazel Margaret Smith Sturgeon. She married Aaron J. Binder on September 20, 1986 in Effingham, IL. He was the love of her life. He passed away on October 10, 2008.

Survivors include her beloved son, Adam Binder and daughter in-law Kenzie Shrum of Casey, IL; brother, Bruce Edward Sturgeon of Harker Heights, TX; sister, Janelle Francine Sturgeon of North Canton, OH; sister-in-law, Lori Sturgeon of Punta Gorda, FL, granddaughters, Rebecca Binder and Hazel Binder; and grandson due in July, Aaron Binder. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Kirk A. Sturgeon.

Cindy attended Stewardson-Strasburg High School. She was a cashier at Dollar General, Casey, IL. Cindy was a free spirit enjoying gardening and travelling, especially visiting the beach. She cherished spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Markwell Funeral Home with Pastor Adam Solorio officiating. Burial will follow in Oakridge Cemetery, Effingham, IL. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
