Carolyn Marie (Wolfe) Gard

Carolyn Marie Gard, age 82, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 2:41 a.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. She was born August 14, 1941, the daughter of Theodore Wolfe and Zola Mary Harlow Wolfe. On August 24, 1957 she married Leslie “Babe” Gard in Martinsville, IL; he passed away on October 17, 1996.

Survivors include her sons, Terry Gard (Christa) of Martinsville, IL, Brad Gard (Celia) of Bella Vista, AR, Steven Gard (Nancy) of Martinsville, IL, and Brenton Gard (Tina) of Martinsville, IL; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren with one on the way; and two great great grandchildren with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Verlyn Dean Wolfe, Carol Ray Wolfe, and Larry Kent Wolfe.

Carolyn attended Martinsville High School. She was a devoted homemaker caring for her husband and children. Carolyn was a member of the Martinsville Bible Church. She loved Martinsville athletics and enjoyed watching all sporting events. Her most cherished treasures were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Greenwell Funeral Home with Brother Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the service on Friday at Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL 62442.
