Brian Montelle Hammer

Brian Montelle Hammer, age 61, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 3:25 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at his home in Martinsville in the presence of his lifelong soulmate, his wife.  He was born October 19, 1958 in Terre Haute, IN the son of Forrest Montelle Hammer and Marilyn Florence Williams Hammer.  On March 22, 1977 he married Sandra Lynn Smith in Martinsville, IL.

Survivors include his wife of forty-three years, Sandra Hammer of Martinsville, IL; sisters, Melinda Siverly (Doug) of Palestine, IL and Dianna Brown (Mark) of Melrose, IL; brother in law, Doug Murphy of Robinson, IL; several nephews and nieces and dear friend, Marc Pittman. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Donna Murphy; brother, Chad Hammer; his grandparents, uncles and aunts.

Brian attended Martinsville High School.  He was employed in construction as a welder and working on concrete silos.  Brian enjoyed welding; he was very generous and was always willing to help others. 

At his request there will be no services.
