Brenda Kay (Boyd) Whitton, age 63, of Casey, IL passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Arbor Rose, Robinson, IL with her family by her side. She was born June 6, 1957 in Terre Haute, IN the daughter of Allen Lee Boyd and Loretta Maxine Ulrey Boyd. On March 31, 1990 she married Kenneth Whitton in Casey, IL.
Survivors include her husband, Ken Whitton of Casey, IL; sons, Mitchell Whitton (Cassidy) of Martinsville, IL and Chase Whitton of South Kingstown, RI; brother, Robert “Bobby” Boyd (Vicki) of Casey, IL and sister, Linda Mason (Brent) of Casey, IL, many nephews, nieces, cousins, her Church family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Brenda was a 1975 graduate of Casey High School. She held many jobs over the years; she worked in sales for State Farm, Oetting Insurance, Consolidated Communications, Yellowpages, and WKZI. In her younger years she worked at Crawford Memorial Hospital and enjoyed waitressing at Richards’s Farm and Pizza Hut. Brenda was very talented in design and fashion. She was always willing to help a friend decorate their home and was always re-designing her own home. Brenda loved shopping; she always found a need for a new pair of shoes and a purse or two! Always upbeat and a smile on her face Brenda loved life and was always ready for a new adventure.
Ken and Brenda faithfully attended the First Christian Church where Brenda established many lifelong friendships. She dearly loved her family and cherished any time they spent together.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 23, 2021 at the First Christian Church with Brother Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. on Thursday evening, April 22, 2021 at First Christian Church, 220 SE Eighth St., Casey, IL. (Per CDC guidelines attendees should stay at least 6 feet apart and wear a cloth face covering.)

Brenda fought a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s for 10 years. Ken would like to thank their family, friends and the exercise group who spent time with Brenda especially walking, exercising, shopping and taking her to appointments. Without your love, concern and ongoing help we would have never managed.
