Brad L Finney

Bradley Leon “Brad” Finney, age 60 of Casey, IL passed away at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at his home after a courageous battle with ALS.  He was born October 30, 1960 in Oblong, IL the son of Eugene “Gene” Frank and Mary Etta Hall Finney.

Survivors include his children, Justin Kyle Finney (Brittni) of Casey, IL; Aaron Scott Finney (Elizabeth) of Effingham, IL and Jennifer Lynne Partlow (Wayland) of Charleston, IL; grandchildren, Paisley, Porter, Hannah, Keen, Sebastian and Josie; brother, Richard Finney (Cheryl) of Fairbanks, AL; sister, Marilyn Ross of Casey, IL; the mother of his children, Jeanette Mollet (Lonnie) of Casey, IL; nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and fiancé, Linda (Madlem) Pierson.  

Brad was a 1978 graduate of Casey High School and a Lake Land College graduate.  He owned Gene’s Auto Sales in Casey and worked for Blackhawk Engineering in Casey.  Brad was a former member of the Casey Country Club.  He enjoyed golfing, fishing and bowling and any time he could spend with his grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Markwell Funeral Home with Pastor Justin Janney officiating.  Burial will be in the Vernon Addition Cemetery, Casey, IL at a later date.  Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL. (Per CDC guidelines attendees should social distance and wear a cloth face covering.)

Memorial donations may be made to the donor’s choice.

The family would like to thank Pam, Trina, Holly, Miranda, Leslie and many others who assisted Brad and allowed him to stay in his home during his illness with ALS.
