Bonnie "Dunkin" Kay (Wheeler) Stockon

Bonnie "Dunkin" Kay (Wheeler) Stockon, age 72, of Casey, IL passed away as the result of an automobile accident at 3:25 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Center. She was born on February 13, 1949 in Shelbyville, IL the daughter of James Leo Wheeler and Lois Jean Wheat Wheeler. On April 29, 2000 she married Darrell Earnest Stockon in Palmer, IL; he passed away on August 3, 2008.

Survivors include her children, James Lowe of Beecher City, IL, Kenneth Lowe of Beecher City, IL, Terry Jacob (TJ) Duvall (Jennifer Hunter) of Casey, IL, Candice Burson of Martinsville, IL, Dion Stockon of Taylorville, IL; sisters, Connie Day of OR, Sally Chenoweth of Shelburn, IN and Peggy Brown (Steve) of TN, Doris Mourtrey (Dick) of Pana, IL; and best friend, Terry Duvall of Casey, IL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Darrell Stockon; sons, Gregory Michael Lowe and Matthew Stockon and sister, Judith Bly.

Bonnie worked at International Paper for 17 years in Shelbyville, IL. She also worked at Wal-mart in Shelbyville, IL where she enjoyed helping her customers. Bonnie was a member of the United in Faith Church of Pana, IL. She loved bingo and playing slots at the Lumiere Place Casino and Casino Queen. She also enjoyed cooking, rummage sales and bargain shopping. She loved her family; they were truly the joy of her life. She was caring and always willing to help anyone in need. Bonnie will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Markwell Funeral Home with Pastor Leon Goff officiating. Burial will follow in Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
