Bernard Lee Remlinger, Sr., age 74, of Casey, IL passed away at 1:03 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at home. He was born January 10, 1946 in Peoria, IL, the son of Roy E. Owen and Eva Mae Remlinger Owen. On September 12, 1965 he married Juanita Jean Boyd in Marshall, IL; she passed away February 3, 2017.
Survivors include his son, B. Lee (Kim) Remlinger, Jr. of Casey, IL; grandchildren, Cathy May Remlinger of Zavilla,TX, Keithen Lee (Paige) Remlinger of Greenup, IL, Kayla (William) Wilson of Casey, IL, Heather Remlinger of Casey, IL, Gunner (Jerrica) Remlinger of Harvel, IL; six great grandchildren, sister, Karen Louise Owens-Jones of Bridgeport, IL and nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and sister, June Owen in 1992.
Lee proudly served his country in the US Army from 1967-1969. He was retired as a machinist from Rowe Foundry, Martinsville, IL after 26 years. He was a member of the Casey Moose Lodge. Lee was an avid Elvis fan and especially liked sports; the Chicago Cubs and Minnesota Vikings were his favorite teams.
Graveside inurnment will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL. Military rites will be provided by Casey VFW and Martinsville American Legion.
