Barbara Aileen Beeson, age 89, of Casey, IL formerly of Hillsboro, IL and Fillmore, IL passed away at 3:52 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born on September 9, 1931 in Brownstown, IL, the daughter of John Glen Patterson and Mila Irene Hooker Patterson. On October 23, 1947 she married Doyle Gene Beeson in Brownstown, IL; he passed away on June 3, 2014.
Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Whitten and husband Jerrell of Ramsey, IL and Deborah Wygal of Hillsboro, IL; sons, John Beeson and wife Sally of Witt, IL; Nathan Beeson and wife Libby of Greenup, IL; Victor Beeson and wife Lori of Camargo, IL and Vincent Beeson and wife Debra of Tuscola, IL; brother Robert Patterson of Brownstown, IL; sisters, Yvonne Watkin of Peoria, AZ and Sue Thoman of Vandalia, IL; sixteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Doyle Gene Beeson; brothers, Dean Patterson and Gordon Patterson; sisters, Violet Davis and Brenda Grinstaff.
Barbara attended Brownstown High School. She retired after 12 years at Kearn Manufacturing in Neoga, IL and after 16 years at Hillsboro Glass. She was a member of the Moriah Church of God. Barbara’s hobbies included quilting and sewing.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the Moriah Church of God in Casey, IL with Pastor Jeff Lakins and Pastor Jaret Alvis officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Cemetery, south of Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday prior to the service at the Moriah Church of God, 4890 N. 370th St., Casey, IL. (Per CDC guidelines attendees should social distance and wear a cloth face covering.)
