Audrey Lucille Blankenbaker

Audrey Lucille Blankenbaker, age 96, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Twin Lakes Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Paris, IL.  She was born on February 7, 1924 in Terre Haute, IN the daughter of Arthur Ax and Faye Ellington Ax.  On December 15, 1943 she married Sidney C. Blankenbaker, Sr. in Fort Wayne, IN.  He passed away on July 17, 2006.

Survivors include her children, Sidney C. Blankenbaker, Jr. of Terre Haute, IN; Samuel Barry Blankenbaker (Val) of Fieldon, IL; Cyndi Alice Blankenbaker of Springfield, IL; Ava Tognetti (Rob) of Benicia, CA and Ila Blankenbaker of Terre Haute, IN; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Denzil Ax and sister, Halleen Flenner.

Mrs. Blankenbaker was a graduate of Martinsville High School and Eastern Illinois University.  She was a member of the Martinsville United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Alpha Theta Chapter of Kappa Omicron Phi (National Home Economics Society) of Eastern Illinois University. 

Inurnment will be beside her husband at Camp Butler Cemetery, Springfield, IL at a later date.
