Randall Lee “Randy” Rue, age 58, of Casey, IL left this world on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 11:24 p.m. at Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute, IN after a twenty-two year illness. He was born August 16, 1963 in Charleston, IL to Robert Ross “Bob” and Marsha S. (Shafer) Rue.

Survivors include his mom and best friend, Marsha Rue of Casey, IL; siblings, Cindy Wimbley of Casey, IL, Roger Rue (Joanne) of Winter Spring, FL, and Lori Romanelli of Casey, IL; nephews and nieces, Jason Wimbley (Dinah) of Casey, IL, Jenny Winschief (Chris) of Casey, IL, Sean Goudreau (Christy) of Mt. Dora, FL, and Kristen Romanelli of Batavia, IL; great nephews and nieces, Dustin and Rachel Weger of Casey, IL, Carson and Leah Goudreau of Mt. Dora, FL, and Parker Wood of Batavia, IL; aunts, Sharleen Maxey of Ft. Meade, FL, Bonnie Baird (Don) of Martinsville, IL, Julie Briggs (Chuck) of Tilton, IL, Melanie Evans (David) of Weatherford, TX, and Sharon Rue of Casey, IL; uncles, John Rue (Nancy) of Peotone, IL, Richard Rue (Kathy) of Houston, TX; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his dad, Bob Rue; grandparents, Buck and Alice Rue and Charlie and Rosalyn Shafer; aunts, Mary Sue Watson and Andrea Rue; and uncles, Rhondal Rue, Tony Rue, Rodney Rue, Jack Rue, Ben Rue, and Bill Maxey.

Randy attended Morton High School. Inspired by his father, he enjoyed a career as a union plasterer for several years. Randy was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and fishing as well.

At Randy’s request, private services with immediate family will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery in Casey, IL.
