Dotty Doralene (O'Dell) Milbourn

Dotty Doralene Milbourn, age 97, of Casey, IL passed away peacefully at 9:40 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Casey, IL. She was born April 2, 1925 in Yale, IL, the daughter of Thomas Albert O’Dell and Clara A. Byram O’Dell. On July 14, 1945 she married George Johnson Milbourn in Casey, IL; he passed away on June 21, 2008.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Marla Beasley (Pastor Evan) of Casey, IL; grandchildren, Dorinda Zachary of Terre Haute, IN, Aaron Kemper (Julia) of Greenup, IL, and Amanda Wood of Charleston, IL; great grandchildren, Heather Smith, Joel Dreher, and Ethan Kemper; and great great grandchildren, Keith Smith, Matthew Dreher, Luke Decker, and Kaelyn Dreher; many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.  She was preceded by her parents; husband; daughter, Vicky Wood; brother, Virgil O’Dell; sisters, Faye Slane, Ruth Michaels, Opal Breese, Anna Denney, Mavis Shobe, Lucille Newlin, and Eva Hanners.

Dotty attended Yale Schools. She was a folder at Ettlebrick Shoe Factory in Casey, IL for many years. Dotty attended First Southern Baptist Church in Greenup, IL. She was a talented baker and enjoyed cooking for her family. Dotty also enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Markwell Funeral Home with Pastor Brooke Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery in Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service on Friday at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
