Clinton Dwight Shotts

Clinton Dwight Shotts, age 86, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Eastview Terrace in Sullivan, IL.  He was born December 31, 1937 in rural Clark County, IL the son of Fred Shotts and Lucy Brosman Shotts.

Survivors include his children, Scott Shotts (Donna) of Martinsville, IL; Daniel Shotts of Marshall, IL; Janice Smith (Richard) of Mt. Dora, FL and Cathy Miller of Lady Lake, FL; grandchildren, Jessica, Julia, Lee, Tasha, Amanda and Donnie Jr.; great grandchildren, Adelyn, Avery, Grace, Jonah, Lily, Eisley, Ivy and Daisy.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and brothers, Dean Shotts, Lester Shotts and Donald Shotts.

Clinton worked in union labor construction for Tuscola Labor Union out of Jacksonville, IL for over 30 years.  He was a member of Island Grove Baptist Church.  Clinton love the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, coon hunting, mushroom hunting and gardening.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Greenwell Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Southard officiating.  Visitation will be 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. prior to the service on Wednesday at Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Martinsville, IL at a later date.
